Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 August 2026
These terms explain how TableScape works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. Please read them before using the service. By creating an account or using TableScape, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

TableScape ("we", "us", "our") is a wedding seating planning web application operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at any time at info@tablescape.app. In these terms, "you" means the person using the service.

2. What TableScape does

TableScape lets you design a wedding floor plan, add and manage your guest list, arrange guests into seats, and produce a shareable plan for your venue or caterers. The service is provided through our website and is designed for use on desktop and tablet devices.

3. Your account

To save a plan you need to create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information when you register. Please let us know promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

One account per person. TableScape is intended to be used with a single account per person or couple. You agree not to create multiple accounts — for example using different email addresses — in order to obtain repeated free trials, avoid a plan lock, or otherwise circumvent our paid features. We may detect and link accounts that appear to belong to the same person for this purpose, and we may lock, suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe have been created to bypass payment. Where appropriate, we will contact you first to resolve it.

4. Free trial, and what happens after it

When you create a new account, you get a 7-day free trial with full access to build and edit your plan. This trial begins on the day you create your account.

After the 7-day trial ends, your plan becomes locked for editing. When a plan is locked, you can still:

To unlock editing again, you can make a one-off payment (see section 5). We will make it clear within the app, before your trial ends, that this will happen — so there are no surprises.

Existing users: if you created your account before we introduced the 7-day trial model, your existing plan remains free to view, edit and export as before. The trial-and-lock model applies only to accounts created after that change.

5. Paid plans and pricing

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are one-off payments — there is no subscription and nothing recurring. After your trial ends you can choose:

If you buy Basic and later decide you want Pro, you can upgrade for an additional £7.99. This means the total cost of reaching Pro via Basic first is £15.98, whereas buying Pro directly costs £11.99 — so buying Pro up front saves you £3.99.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. We may change our prices in future, but any change will only affect purchases made after the change — it will never retroactively affect something you have already paid for.

All prices are set in pounds sterling (GBP). If you are paying from outside the United Kingdom, your price may be shown and charged in your local currency at checkout, based on an exchange rate set by our payment processor, Stripe. Your bank or card issuer may also apply its own fees or exchange rates. The amount shown to you at the checkout screen is the amount you will pay.

6. Refunds and your right to cancel

Because unlocking a plan gives you immediate digital access, we ask you to agree at the point of purchase that you want that access straight away. When you do, you acknowledge that you lose the usual 14-day "cooling-off" right to cancel for a change of mind, because the service has already been delivered to you.

This means we do not offer refunds for a change of mind once your plan has been unlocked. However, this does not affect your legal rights: if the digital content is faulty, not as described, or does not work as it should, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms removes that.

If something has gone wrong with your purchase, email us at info@tablescape.app and we will put it right.

7. Your content and your guests' data

The plans, guest names, dietary requirements and notes you enter belong to you. We only use them to provide the service to you. Because your guest list may contain other people's personal information, you confirm that you are entitled to enter it and that you will handle it responsibly. How we look after this data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You can export your guest list and plan details at any time, including when a plan is locked, so you are never prevented from getting a copy of your own information.

8. Acceptable use

Please use TableScape only for its intended purpose. You agree not to misuse the service — for example by attempting to break its security, disrupt it for others, copy or resell it, create multiple accounts to circumvent payment (see section 3), or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

9. Availability

We work hard to keep TableScape running smoothly, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be available or entirely free of errors. We may occasionally need to take it offline for maintenance or updates. We recommend exporting your plan ahead of any event you rely on it for.

10. Our responsibility to you

We take reasonable care to provide a reliable service, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Because we are a small independent service, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us.

11. Age

TableScape is intended for users aged 18 and over, given the nature of the product. It is not directed at children. If we become aware that an account has been created by someone under 18, we may remove it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use TableScape after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer based elsewhere in the UK, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
